Kenneth G. Stickney
Mr. Stickney is acting as General Manager and Director
of Lightspeed Learning Adventures. He has founded multiple businesses in industries ranging from
dining to digital communications technology. He is currently the president of
Pixelsmiths Inc., a corporation specializing in digital applications technology and
services. Prior to that he served as an executive at the idealab-backed entertain
ment venture - Z.com - and was a partner and Vice President of Operations at
ITU, a start up company specializing in building secure dialup computer systems.
Bruce Payne
Mr. Payne is Co-Director of Curriculum Development and Interactive Design
for Lightspeed Learning Adventures. He is nationally recognized as a developer
of innovative and technologically advanced science curriculum. He has worked
on a variety of projects with the National Science Foundation, NASA, Department
of Defense Education Agency, State of Texas Educational Agency and State of
California Department of Education. He served as a classroom teacher for six
years in Southern California secondary schools and one year as an administrator.
He holds Masters degrees in Education and Administration from Claremont
College and science research credentials including advanced degrees from USC
in Pathology and from Cal State Fullerton in Life Sciences.
Michael Garcia
Mr. Garcia is Co-Director of Curriculum Development and Interactive Design
for Lightspeed Learning Adventures. He is a science, mathematics and physics
education specialist whose work included the creation of educational outreach
programs and events for Jet Propulsion Laboratories. He has received numerous
awards for his participation in many NASA/JPL missions to the planets and
community outreach programs. He holds a BA in Industrial Arts and a credential
in Physical Science from Cal State LA.
George Giaimo
Mr. Giaimo is Director of Business Development for Light Speed Learning
Adventures. A USC graduate, Mr. Giaimo has been in the computer technology
industry for over 23 years. He is currently the founder and President of Balboa
Computers, a company that specializes in computer services for the entertain
ment industry with major clients such as Paramount Studios and Spelling Enter
tainment. Prior to that he was with NASA/JPL on the Voyager Space Project
Team and public affairs.
